Strong - Wade B. Bredeau passed away at his home on May 8th, 2026. He was born in Farmington, Maine on July 15th,1972 and grew up in Phillips. He graduated from Mount Abram High School in 1990 and attended Foster Tech in the Forestry Program. After high school, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle across the country and eventually attended Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Arizona.
On September 30th, 2023, he married Dianne. Together they enjoyed riding their 4-wheelers in both summer and winter months, boating with friends, taking trips to the coast and spending time with their animals. Wade also enjoyed working around the yard with his tractor, cutting firewood, hunting, fishing, tinkering, and doing any type of mechanical work in the garage known as "Wade's World". He always had a smile and a story to tell, no matter where he was or who he was talking to. He loved and adored his animals, especially his cats Bubbie, Cinder, and Stormy and a black lab, River, who was always happy to go for a walk or a ride with him.
Wade was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Betty Bredeau and his oldest brother Wayne Bredeau. He is survived by his loving and supportive wife, Dianne Bredeau, stepchildren Taylor Henderson (Dakota) and Machaon Henderson (Alison), sisters Janet White (Dennis), Janice Bredeau, and Joyce Clark (Carroll), twin brother Ward (Andrea) and sisters-in-law Carrie Bredeau and Tami Bredeau, brothers-in-law Rick Shurtleff (Sonya), and Dan Shurtleff (Darcy), and mother-in-law Eunice Shurtleff. He is also survived by his favorite tinkering companions, nephews Dawson Bredeau and Mason Stevens, proudly loved by their "Unkee", several nieces, nephews, and cousins that will all miss him more than words can express.
In lieu of cards and flowers, donations may be made in Wade's memory to Ward's Rod & Reels Youth Fishing & Conservation Foundation, 10 Weld Rd, Phillips, ME 04966. The foundation supports young anglers in Maine by helping provide fishing equipment and opportunities to participate. Every dollar donated will go directly to this effort.
